Mentor Interview:
Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened.
Interview Summary:
This Interview was not that long but also not that short it all went really well it was kinda like a conversation we were having. It seemed as if she already had had practice for this interview she did not hesitate to answer one single question and she was very specific when it came to answering any of the questions. Most of the questions I was asking my mentor were kinda for me to better get to know her but also understand who she is a professional worker and what's she did in to get to her she is. I really like how she was able to answer the question of where do you see yourself in 10 years really quick. It was as if she already has her nest 10 years planed. For example when she said “ would totally love to still be somewhere around this field but I mostly see, myself working at the San Diego Zoo as a curator treating injured animals.
A quote from this interview that really made me think was the one when she is explaining one of the most difficult things she has faced and it was actually when she first started to work at the living cost. She said “I think that when I first started with animal care I missed working with people and I wasn't able to fully enjoyed my job working with animals and what I did was that I started the internship that you are a part of I hired interns and I was able to teach them and they helped me out and I taught them so we all worked together for something so I was able to teach both animal care and work with people.” I really thought about it and how she was actually missing working with people but she started that interns project where she takes in people and they both help each other they help her with what needs to be done but at the same time she is teaching them how to do things. And thankfully I was part of this program.

1. What is your dream job?
think working with animals and people and the capacity that I am able to do is so rewarding I still get to be involved in teaching and nothing is better than letting people know about the story of the animals that we have here and why it's important.
2. What Is something you like doing in your free time.?
um, I love to do a couple of things I like to read, I like to draw and I like to go hiking and be part of nature, looking for animals and being surrounded with threes make me really happy.
3. What are your plans for the future?
The one thing that I really wanna do in the future is going to Peru and see wild birds in the cliffs that these birds go to and they eat all the minerals for the edge of the cleats and I would just love to see Paris in the Amazon jungle.
4. What has been the most difficult thing you have crossed paths with, How did you overcome this thing.?
I think that when I first started with animal care I missed working with people and I wasn't able to fully enjoyed my job working with animals and what I did was that I started the internship that you are a part of I hired interns and I was able to teach them and they helped me out and I taught them so we all worked together for something so I was able to teach both animal care and work with people.
5.Where do you see yourself in 10 years.?
Well, I would like t still be in the zoo somewhere perhaps as a curator, I've always wanted to work at the San Diego zoo I would love to have a job there at some point. But I also love to travel so going to other places, but um I feel like doing what I am right to know is something that I hope it lasts for that long.
Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened.
